At Generations Community Bank, investing in our community means investing in the people who will help shape its future.
This summer, GCB was proud to participate in the 16 Tech Talent Access internship program and welcome Curtis Foust as a marketing intern. Curtis is a student-athlete at Marian University and brought curiosity, determination and a willingness to learn to his first professional internship experience.
The eight-week Talent Access program connects Indiana students with meaningful paid internships while providing mentorship, professional development, coaching and community-service opportunities. For GCB, participating in the program offered an opportunity to help a young professional build practical experience while learning more about community banking, financial education and the many people and roles required to serve a community well.
During his internship, Curtis connected with GCB Team Members, learned from their professional journeys and worked on a project exploring what young adults wish they had learned earlier about banking and personal finance. His experience also extended beyond the bank through volunteer service and development opportunities coordinated by 16 Tech.
Curtis’s story is a powerful reminder that meaningful career experiences can help young people recognize their strengths, grow their confidence and begin imagining what is possible for their futures. We are grateful to Curtis for sharing his talents with GCB and to 16 Tech for creating a program that expands access to professional opportunities for Indiana students.
