David Bratton

Chief Operations Officer/Chief Financial Officer

David is a seasoned executive with over 40 years of leadership in finance, operations, and strategic planning. He is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the Bank. In this role, he focuses on operational efficiencies in support of customer initiatives while aligning financial resources to support the unique mission of the Bank. David proudly joined the organizing team for Generations Community Bank in September 2024 as employee number two. The unique mission of Generations Community Bank was the foundation for David to join this important initiative for our local communities. He has a passion for efficiency and process improvement in support of amazing customer and team member experiences.

David served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Indiana-based State Bank (formerly State Bank of Lizton) from 2019-2024. Prior to that, he served as President & CEO of Business Furniture LLC in Indianapolis and as a Finance & Marketing professional for General Motors.

David was born in Anderson, Indiana and has been in Indiana most of his life – the last 30 years in and around Indianapolis. David is married to Dawn, and they have one son and four daughters, along with four grandchildren.  He loves all sports (especially his undefeated Football National Champion Hoosiers) and actively plays golf, tennis, and pickleball.

He earned his B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington and his M.B.A. in Business Management from Ball State University. He practiced as a Certified Public Accountant early in his career.
