Leo Lopez

Chief Banking Officer

Leo Lopez is a 30-year banking veteran who found success early in his career by building relationships with clients and community-based partners, an approach he follows to this day.  Leo is the Chief Banking Officer for Generations Community Bank. He brings a wealth of experience to the bank as he has held several positions including Consumer Lending Management, Retail Branch Management, and Commercial Lending. Prior to joining Generations Community Bank, Lopez served as Community Lending Market Executive at Old National Bank, there he was responsible for the implementation of the Empowerment Small Business Loan Program in the Indianapolis Market.

Lopez came to America from Mexico with nothing when he was just 13 years old. After only four years in America, he gained acceptance and attended the University of Minnesota on a partial scholarship. His tenacity and civic engagement have been recognized repeatedly again through the years. In 2017, Lopez was selected to the Young American Leaders Program at Harvard Business School. In 2019 he was selected as an Aspen Ideas Festival Bush Foundation Scholar. Today Lopez has come to own his journey as the entire arc of the American Experience.

Lopez engages in his community. He has served on the Board of Directors at Mid States Minority Supplier Diversity Council, The Simon Youth Foundation. He is a member of the City of Indianapolis Mayor’s Latino Advisory Council. He has been married 30 years and has two daughters. Leo and his family reside in Fishers IN. He is thrilled at the opportunity to contribute to the financial success of individuals and businesses in the community.
