With more than 10 years of experience in financial services, Michelle brings extensive expertise in consumer compliance, regulatory affairs, and enterprise risk management to her dual role as Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer at Generations Community Bank, Indiana’s newest minority depository institution. She is deeply committed to building robust compliance frameworks and fostering responsible banking practices, with a passion for establishing comprehensive risk management programs that support the bank’s mission of serving overlooked and underserved communities.

Currently pursuing her Executive MBA at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, Michelle is strengthening her strategic leadership skills and deepening her understanding of how commerce can serve as a force for good, improving lives and creating opportunities for all.

Beyond her professional life, Michelle is passionate about her family and faith. She loves supporting her daughter’s academic and athletic pursuits and finds joy in creating a balanced life that reflects her values.

As a Guatemalan American professional, Michelle brings a valuable perspective to her role at a minority depository institution. She understands the importance of culturally aware financial services and works to ensure regulatory frameworks support expanded financial access for diverse communities.
